Undated lead alloy weight or possibly spindle whorl? 23 mm in diameter, 6 mm thick and weighing 8.74g. The object is roughly circular in form and a shallow D shape in cross section. It has a central circular hole 4 mm in diameter. The form of the object suggests it could be a poorly made spindle whorl which would match Walton Rogers form A1, but the hole is quite small so perhaps a flat wight is a more probable identification?
