Roman copper alloy spoon, 41mm in length, 25mm wide and 3mm thick with a weight of 6.26grams. The object has a circular bowl with the lower part of a handle attached which has a D shpaed cross section. This is attached so the flat side butts up to the upper edge of the bowl and the rounded underside tapers into the underside of the bowl. For a better preserved example see LEIC-B44BD3.

Roman copper alloy spoon, 109mm long, 31mm wide and 14mm thick with a weight of 12.06grams. The object consists of an incomplete spoon bowl which would have had an ovoid form. Its handle is almost complete. The 'neck' joining the two parts consists of an openwork sub rectangular attachment. It emerges from just below the rim of the bowl, running outwards from it for about 10mm. This is decorated with a ring and dot depression next to the bowl, followed by a line of semi-circular stamps. It consists of a rectangular cross sectioned shaft which tapers slightly in width. At the bowl end it its last 15mm of length has a series of slight projections on its upper surface. Copper-alloy Roman spoon. Most of the bowl is missing but what remains is attached to the handle by a crescent shaped lug. This lug is decorated with vertical ridges where it is attached to the handle. The top of this lug is either broken or has a scalloped edge. The handle has a flat rectangular section where it joins the lug with possible transverse ridges as decoration.The handle, which is rectangular in section, tapers to a blunt end. It is similar to WMID-E02190. Length: 91.0mm, width: 11.0, thickness: 2.0mm, weight: 3.91g.

Late Roman copper alloy 'swan necked' spoon handle, 55mm long, 12mm wide and 3mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 3.56grams. The object consists of a rectangular sectioned shaft which has been twisted repeatedly along its length for decorative effect. At one end it flattens and terminates in a triangular point. Roman silver spoon of plain and simple form, 99mm long, 21mm wide and 5mm deep. The object is in fair condition with a grey patina and weighs 10.48grams. The object consists of a circular sectioned tapering handle that ends in a point and is bent approximately one third in from the end. Roman silver spoon bowl, 25mm in diameter and 6mm deep. The object is in fair condition with a brownish/grey patina and weighs 6.22grams. The bowl is circular, a form common in this period, and is decorated on the inside with an incised border about 4mm below the rim. Its handle is oval in section and is integral, emerging from the centre of the base of the bowl. An incomplete copper alloy spoon dating to the Roman period. The fragment comprises the stem and offset which measures 42mm long, 9mm wide and 1mm thick. The object is in fair condition and weighs 3.21grams. Thestem is circular in section and has been twisted to form a rope effect. About half way this changes to a straight rectangular section stem, before terminating with a crescentic shaped offset. The corner which is aligned with the shaft is intact and terminates in a point. The spoon bowl would have sat at the other, wider end of the crescent, below the alignment of the shaft.

An incomplete Roman copper alloy spoon handle dating to the first to third century AD. It measures 93mm long, 13mm wide and 3mm thick. The object is in a fair condition and weighs 6.57 grams. The object consists of a circular sectioned shaft which is twisted for the central third of its length and emerges from this with a rectangular section. At this end there is a 'C' shaped rectangualr sectioned protrusion, which would have held the bowl, now missing.
