Early Medieval copper alloy gilded mount, c. 28mm long and 32mm wide. The object is in poor condition with an irregular edge and is sub triangular in form and rectangular in cross section. It appears to be incomplete probably broken across its narrower straight edge. From there the objects sides widen outwards and terminate in a curved outer edge, giving it an axe shape. It is decorated all over with style II interlace, formed of three bands and heavily knotted. It has patches of a solid gilded border along two edges. It consists of a domed, hollow openwork body decorated with a raised triskele motif, formed of three interlaced triangles with a central triangular void. Early Medieval gilded copper alloy mount, 26mm in length, 16mm wide and 1mm thick with a weight of 3.22g. The object is incomplete and is rectangular and flat. It is decorated with a plain raised border, c.1mm wide, and inside this is a narrow depression and a further raised border, c.0.5mm wide. The main field is filled with double-strand plaited interlace forming an entwined beast. Early Medieval or Medieval copper alloy belt mount. 18mm in length, 14mm wide and 5mm thick with a weight of 2.16grams. The object is in complete and has a rectangular shape and triangular cross section. It consists of three rounded flat projections at cardinal points, the fourth edge is broken. These flank a pyramid shaped solid centre. This has traces of recessed lines running from each corner to its apex. The form and patina suggest a late early Medieval date and it is possibly part of a harness/belt fitting?
