Fragment of a gilded copper-alloy mount, sub-triangular and flat, with one definite straight edge (formed of a slight step) which forms the shortest edge. A second edge has semi-circular cut-outs running along its length, and this suggests a broken edge which orginally contained circular holes. The third edge appears to be original and co-incides with relief decoration. This is formed from a raised area with a central band of rope-like decoration which contains traces of gilding. This decoration runs along the object's edge and it widens in the centre where it also curves around a cir…

A fragment of gilded copper alloy 16mm long and 14mm wide. It is in good condition with a green patina, and weighs 2.13g. The fragment is roughly T-shaped, and has a raised border c. 2 mm thick around a panel of chip-carved interlace; the interlace has traces of gilding. On the reverse are the remains of a rectangular-section attachment lug 4mm long and 2mm thick. Susan Youngs has suggested that it may be a fragment of strap-union, attached to a leather strap by passing the lug through a slit in the leather and then threading a pin through a hole in the lug. This object may belong to …

Early Medieval mount, 18mm in diameter, 2mm thick with a weight of 2.47 grams. The object is in good condition with a blackish Patina. It consists of a circular plate with a raised border, some of which is missing. It is decorated with a gilded ropework design arranged in a circle with one 'knot' in the centre. This is contained in a raised circular border, inside the outer one. The reverse has three raised areas, two still have traces of rivets protruding from them. There was very probably a fourth as there is a piece missing where this would have fitted.
