A worn silver Roman Republican Denarius with central circular piercing, probably dating to the period c.140-130 BC (Reece period 1) and perhaps issued by the moneyer L. Trebanius (c.135 BC).
Obverse: Helmeted head of Roma right, behind X.
Reverse: Uncertain figure riding a quadriga right, illegible legend below, (ROMA) in exergue.
Diameter: 17mm; Weight: 3.25g.
Probably mint of Rome. Cf. RRC 241/1a-b for the L. Trebanius issues.
