Roman copper alloy mount fragment, 19 mm in length, 8 mm wide and 3 mm thick with a weight of 0.85g. The object is sub-rectangular in form and cross section and consists of a flat plate with a slightly triangular terminal which has millefiori inlay consisting of five repeating flower-like motifs in a square field of alternate red, white and blue. This sits in a narrow flat border then the object before turns at right angles to form incomplete sides. The object is incomplete at one short end and its sides appear damaged. The object may be part of a decorative mount or similar.

It is the terminal of an 'Apostle' type figurative spoon in the form of the Virgin Mary, in draped robes, holding baby Jesus. This sits on a small circular platform whose underside has the scar of the spoons shaft. There is also a casting scar along one edge of this and higher up the figure, suggesting an unfinished or poor quality example.

The brooch is rather crudely made and has circular cross sectioned, solid short wings which would have housed a hinged pin, now missing. The bow has a rectangular cross sectioned curved shaft which widens out into a flat triangular plate. This has a plain raised border surrounding a triangular recess. This is filled with a single central raised triangle, creating three triangular recesses which probably held enamel. The reverse of this has a small sub triangular catch plate.

Medieval silver buckle, 20mm long, 15mm wide and 4 mm thick with a weight of 3.78g. The buckle is rectangular in form and cross section and consists of an oval frame which is made up of two straight sides and two curved ones, which have a trapezoidal cross section. The curves terminate at four sub spherical knops which are decorated with circular and semi-circular punch marks. The terminals of the curved parts form a slightly raised collar under each knop. Early Medieval copper alloy brooch fragment, 34mm long 12mm wide and 4mm thick with a weight of 5.72g. The object is rectangular in form and cross section and forms the upper part of the bow of a cruciform or small long brooch and consists of one half which is plain and has a bowed form with a rounded upper surface. The second half is flat and rectangular with slight traces of probable lappets to each side. The reverse of this houses a centrally placed, sub rectangular catch plate.

Early Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 23 mm in diameter, 6 mm thick and weighing 8.74g. The object is roughly circular in form and a shallow D shape in cross section. It has a central circular hole 4 mm in diameter. The form of the object suggests it could be a poorly made spindle whorl which would match Walton Rogers form A1, but the hole is quite small so perhaps a flat wight is a more probable identification?

The brooch has short circular cross sectioned wings which contain the remains of an iron rod and which would have housed a hinged pin (now missing). It has a plain semi-circular cross sectioned tapering bow which is missing its base and has the scars of a large openwork catch plate on its reverse, which would have taken up two thirds of the bows length.

Roman copper alloy headstud brooch, 23mm long, 15mm wide and 8mm thick with a weight of 4.88g. The brooch is in poor condition and incomplete. It has narrow rectangular shaped and cross sectioned wings which house a hinged pin recess (pin now missing) and sit behind a rectangular cross sectioned bow. This has a raised circular motif at its shoulder just above a sharp turn in the bow, which is missing its base.

Late Medieval copper alloy strap clasp. 25mm in length, 13mm wide and 6mm thick with a weight of 3.63g. The clasp is rectangular in form and cross section. It has an open rectangular frame which has an angled plate projecting from one end. This has animal head decoration with a rounded snout forming a triangular apex and behind this are very large almond eyes with a chevron shaped ridge forming brows which runs down the side of the frame. The opposite end to the head has a recessed flat plate to take a strap and just in front of this on each side is a rounded transverse ridge.

It has no obvious function, but its form suggests possibly a link of some sort and its decoration suggests a Medieval or post Medieval date?.
