Medieval iron horseshoe fragment, 91mm long and 20mm wide with a weight of 54g. The fragment represents just under half a shoe, has a rectangular cross section and a curved tapering form. It has one inner flat edge and the outer edge is 'lobate' with rounded projections. These allow for oval shaped recesses with rectangular holes to accommodate the nails. There are three such holes in the fragment, two of which still contain the rectangular cross sectioned nails. Roman copper alloy knee brooch, AD 100-200, Length: 33 mm, width: 18 mm, thickness: 8 mm, weight: 10.92 g. The brooch is complete except for its spring, pin and catchplate. It has semi-circular cross sectioned, rectangular shaped open wings. These sit above a rectangular cross sectioned, curved bow. This is swollen where it curves, giving it the distinctive shape of this type. The bow then narrows before splaying out into a sub rectangular foot. Similar to fig. 194, e.g. 479 in Hattatt, R. ' A catalogue of Richard Hattatts ancient brooches'

Early Post Medieval copper alloy purse bar fragment, Length: 62 mm, width: 6 mm, thickness: 5 mm, weight: 10.65 g. The object consists of about just under half a purse bar . It has a circular cross section and terminates with an acorn shaped finial which consists of a raised rounded band with diagonal incisions sitting below a smaller rounded terminal. Very similar to DENO-0B7E96.

Medieval copper alloy seal matrix fragment, 1200-1400. Length: 25 mm, width: 26 mm, thickness: 9 mm, weight: 10.55 g. The seal is incomplete and has a pointed oval form with a rectangular cross section. Its reverse has a rectangular cross sectioned bar running down its centre with a small semi-circular suspension loop at its upper edge. The seal has broken roughly around its centre and it is ecclesiastical in nature. It shows a nativity scene with Mary lying in a bed with the swaddled Jesus above her and Joseph at the foot of the bed. Above Jesus is a star to the left and 2 horned cat…
