Medieval copper alloy and enamel harness pendant, 39mm long, 27mm wide and 2mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a brownish patina and weighs 8.79grams. The pendant is shield shaped and is decorated with a blue lion? which has exaggerated clawed feet and a long curving tail. The pendant has the remains of a suspension loop in the centre of its upper edge.

The mount is rectangular in form and semi-circular in section. It is decorated with three transverse ridges, between which are two bulging semi-spheres. There is a circular sectioned rivet near at each end, which taper to a point (one has broken off).

The object is sub rectangular in form and semi-circular in section. It is nipped in at the centre giving the impression of two 'acorns'. It is decorated with five transverse depressions with the rest of the surface appearing pitted, perhaps deliberately? The reverse has two circular sectioned prongs, one is folded into the centre.
