Medieval lead alloy weight, 54mm in length, 43mm wide, 6mm thick with a weight of 149g. The object is shield shaped (sub triangular) and rectangular in cross section. It is very worn/mis-cast and has a raised design of a shield outline with a central inscription of IHS? in each corner, outside the shield motif, are two or three raised semi-spheres. Given the inscription and design the object is likely to be Medieval, but could be later.

It has a pointed lower surface and an ornate upper surface formed of two rounded projections at each corner with a central rounded projection, which contains a large circular suspension hole, c.20mm in diameter. Post Medieval lead alloy weight, 37mm in diameter, 11mm thick with a weight of 108.48grams. The weight is circular in form and rectangular in cross section. It is stamped on both sides with four round depressions arranged in a square. One side also has a central circular depression with a raised circle in its centre and flanked by waffle decoration formed of a series of crossing raised lines. The weight corresponds to 4 ounces which is probably indicated by the four circles, it is similar to a weight recorded here SUSS-813B58 and described as a dress weight.

Post Medieval copper alloy trade weight, 7mm thick and 29mm in diameter with a weight of 28.03g. The object is circular in form and rectangular in cross section with a rectangular cross sectioned lip around its upper edge. Inside this lip the object has a circular depression c.6mm in diameter and is stamped with an Adverpois (A), a sword in St Georges crest, a ewer and a crowned W. It weighs just under 1 ounce, which was issued as a new weight standard from 1826. This one is from the reign of William IV, dating it to 1830-7.
