Medieval lead alloy token, 34mm in diameter and 3mm thick. The token is in fair condition with a grey patina and weighs 18.31grams. The token is decorated on one side with a raised circle intersected by two gently curved lines which meet in the centre of the circle. There are two sets of three raised dots near the centre and raised dots at the terminals of the curved lines.

A post medieval copper alloy token penny issued in Grantham, dated 1667. The obverse reads 'BY Ye OVERSEERS OF Ye POORE' in the outer ring with 'GRAN/THAM / 1667' in the inner circle. The reverse has a chequered shield - the arms of the Borough of Grantham, in the centre, with [...] PENNY TO BE EXCHAING' in the outer ring.

The object has a surface decorated with a wheel like design of 8 lines radiating from a central knop. The reverse is plain but has a patch of iron staining just off centre and the upper side has a frgament of iron showing through its central knop, suggesting it may have held an iron loop?
