Early Medieval or Medieval? lead alloy spindle whorl or weight, 26mm in length, 20mm wide and 10mm thick with a weight of 36.28grams. The object is miss shapen and has an almost rectangular form. It has a central circular hole, 7mm in diameter and a cross section with is sub rectangular . If this is a whorl, it is damaged but would fit Walton Rogers class B.

The fabric not been positively identified past it being sandy.

Medieval lead alloy spindle whorl, 30mm in diameter, 18mm thick with a weight of 84grams. The whorl has a dark grey patina and has been poorly cast. It is quite thick and is decorated with a series of rounded triangular protrusions seperated by linear depressions. These triangles continue protruding over the side of the whorl and are divided by a central linear depression running along its circumference. It has a central hole about 8mm in diameter and this is bordered by a raised collar on each side.

The reverse has concentric ridges on its surface which step down from the central circular hole, 10mm in diameter, towards its narrow edge.

One side consists of a pattern of arised dots whilst the other has a cruciform device (and possibly a letter A?) in each panel with raised dots filling some of the spaces.
