Silver seal-die with fluted handle with remains of maker's mark (?) on upper side, annular ring and above that pierced loop for suspension. The die engraved with amorous motif of a heart pierced by two arrows with drops of blood below, and an eye above, within pearled octagonal border, slightly dented at one edge.

Post Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, 27.6mm long, 17.4mm wide and 17mm thick. The object is in poor condition with a green patina and weighs 10.89 grams. The object has a circular matrix which is worn but has three sub circular depressions, two of which appear attached. The shaft tapers to a point and is hexagonal in section, terminating in a rounded knop which holds a suspsension hole.

Post Medieval copper alloy seal matrix? 20mm long, 13mm wide and 7mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs ?grams. The object consists of a circular loop with a circular section, which widens towards the base. The object terminates at one end with a sub triangular knop and the other has an oval disc attached by a small triangular shaft. The surface of the disc is worn but it may have held some sort of seal?

Post Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, 29mm long, 15mm wide and 3mm thick. The object is in poor condition with a brown patina and weighs 3.90grams. The object consists of a shaft which is triangular in form and circular in section. The base contains a flat circular plate which has the initials WA inscribed into its surface. the shaft tapers in width until it terminates with a flat trefoil shaped handle. This has four circular holes in it, three in a row with one above, forming a suspension loop. The object is very worn and slighly bent.

Post medieval copper alloy seal matrix? 26mm in length, 14mm wide and 11mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 5.19grams. The object has a triangular form and a rectangular section. It tapers outwards from a circular suspension loop to form a rectangular plate. This is incised with diagonal lines which form a rough surface, perhaps the object is designed for scratching something.

Post Medieval copper alloy seal/ pipe tamper? 44mm long 22mm wide and 12mm thick with a weight of 5.84 grams.
The object consists of a signet ring style loop which has a circular shaft with a circular flat base, suggestive of a pipe tamper. The loop has a flat plate which contains a seal matrix forming the initials RG with a star like motif in the field above and below it.

The object consists of a stirrup shaped finger ring with an oval bezel. Opposite the bezel is a flat octagonal protrusion which is plain and seems to have some purpose. The bezel is decorated with the initials IM or WI.

Silver seal matrix with fluted handle and integral suspension loop with cusped outline of Gothic form. The die is deeply engraved with a shield of arms which is difficult to read even under strong magnification, but appears to be two lions passant with their tails along their backs, within a double pearled border framing a band of scrolling foliage. The arms resemble the three lions conventionally found on the arms of England from c1195, but with two rather than three. The matrix is oval in form and is attcahed to a tapering circular sectioned shaft. This terminates with a trefoil shaped handle which has a circular cut out in each lobe and a central 'keyhole' shaped hole. the seal consists of teh initials PG flanking a flower or plant stem.

The seal is circular in form and is sub triangular in section, having a tapering stem emerging from its surface which terminates in a trefoil lobed handle. The matrix itself shows an image of the Agnus Dei (the lamb of God carrying a banner) but there is no sign of any inscription.

Post Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, 15mm long, 137mm wide and 7mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a patina and weighs 2.42grams. The object is oval in form and has a central oval sectioned shaft emerging from the centre of the reverse, which has snapped off. The matrix consists of a raised circle with four points coming off at right angles. in between these are curving lines or rays and the whole is surrounded by a raised border.

Early post medieval copper alloy seal matrix, 23mm long, 15mm wide and 1.5mm thick on the shaft. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 3.09 grams. The seal itself is oval in form and its reverse tapers in thickness towards its centre becoming the base of a shaft. This is 19mm long and 1.5mm thick with a rectangular section. Post Medieval copper alloy and gemstone fob seal, 30mm high, 19mm long and 16mm wide. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 7.25g. The seal dates to the Georgian period and consists of decorative semi-circular arch made up of foliate scrolls with a suspension loop above. This sits on a hollow dome decorated with raised lines which radiate towards its centre. It contains a rectangular gem stone which is a dark pink colour and is decorated with a male bust, the top of which is damaged. It has the name D YORK inscribed (retrograde) below it.

A post-medieval copper alloy seal matrix. The object is actually four circular pendant matrices arranged in a cross shape. One of the seals is now missing but the three that survive have different designs. One appears to show a swan, one a fleur de lis and the last possibly shows a rose? The object has a circular hole at the centre of the cross, presumably for suspension. The arms forming the cross have an oval cross section and the whole object has a brownish patina.

Post medieval silver seal matrix 11mm long, 10mm wide and 5mm thick. The object is in fair condition, missing its suspension loop and weighs 1.27grams. The matrix is circular in form and sub triangular in section with a fluted hexagonal shaft, now incomplete. The seal is formed of a beaded border containing a hand, with a possible ruffed sleeve, holding a three flowered stem. The shape and the design suggest it is probably 17th century in date.

A complete Post-medieval silver seal matrix, possibly dating to 1794-1818. The base is oval with an image of a bird in the centre facing right with a sprig in its beak,above this is a five petalled flower, the inscription around the outside reads 'HENRY HVNT'. the base tapers to become a short hexagonal shaft which terminates in a flat open work trefoil shaped knop which has a single molded collar at its base.
The finders have traced a Henry Hunt, 1794-1818, who had Loughborough connections and was involved in the Peterloo massacre. The imagery of the matrix suggests it could be of…
