Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, probably dating to 1300-1500AD. The object consists of an hexagonal shaft, terminated by an integral suspension loop. The shaft widens out towards a shield shaped matrix surface. This is inscribed across the flat upper edge with PRIVE SV, The bordered image below shows a human headed beast, moving right (in the impression), with stag-like horns and bipedal bird-like body and a dragon headed tail, similar to a 'Manticore'. The design is very comparable to DOR-79663E, which is referenced in Tisdall, M.W, 1999, God's Beasts, p. 12, fig. 3. Length: 21…

Medieval lead seal matrix, 35mm in diameter and 2mm thick with a weight of 15.02g. The seal is circular in form and flat with a small rectangular projection, suggesting a broken suspension loop. The matrix has a central motif consisting of an eight-point star made up of grooves with a short bar across the centre. Four arms of the star end in terminals like ears of wheat, and the other four are simply tapered. The seal has an inscription around the edge, between grooved borders, reading +S' RICARDI FIL' EDWARD'. (Seal of Richard son of Edward).

Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, 31mm long, 20mm wide and 7mm thick. The object is in good condition and weighs 6.81grams. The object is lentoid (pointed oval) in form and has an inscribed border reading S' (seal of) S' ThOME DE STEVETVN . The central motif consists of a bird of prey with outstretched wings and talons out. The reverse has a central semi-circular sectioned rib which widens towards a semi-circular pierced lug. Steveton possibly references Stewton in Lincolnshire.

The object is lentoid (pointed oval) in form and has an inscribed border, which is incomplete and worn. The central motif consists of a rectangular form with an oval above and possible lines at each side. It does not produce a very good seal as its so worn, but it may be a human figure? The reverse has a central rectangular sectioned rib which terminates in a rounded knop.

Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, probably 14th century; complete and is in good condition. The seal matrix is circular with a tapering hexagonal stem. The matrix shows a standing figure holding a globe, and surrounded by what may be palm fronds. The inscription reads ECCE ANGNUS DEI (a mis-spelling of Agnus Dei). Similar to records IOW-FD1D30 and PUBLIC-BC94B7.

Medieval copper alloy seal matrix, 11mm long and 17.5mm in diameter. The object is in fair condition and weighs 5.98grams. The seal is circular with a hexagonal taperning shaft. The matrix consists of a very worn and damaged inscription containing A M O . , with a motif of a central line with a rounded kink in its centre which has a cross attached to it. To each side of this is a short line running towards the edge of the motif. Below this is what appears to be a Lombardic? letter M and a C or E.

The object consists of a circular plate which has a small circular sectioned 'handle protruding from one edge. It is decorated on one side with an inscription BARCUL---ASN surrounding a fluer de lis design. It has a rectangular hole punched through its centre.
