Late Medieval silver coin altered to form a pendant. The object is made from approximately a quarter of a double Patard of Philip the Fair, Duke of Burgundy (1482-1506) of the second issue (1485; van Gelder and Hoc 61-6), minted in Brabant. Ref: van Gelder and Hoc 1961. It has been roughly shaped to form a heart motif by removing a V shaped section from the centre of its outer edge and rounding the outer corners.
