Post Medieval silver button, 14mm long, 12mm in diameter and weighing 1.54g. The button is spherical and hollow with a projecting 'nipple' 2mm in diameter, on the centre of its outer surface. Its has an integral circular sewing loop on its reverse, flanked by two small circular holes. Around the 'nipple' is incised decoration in the form of a six petalled double layered flower resembling a Tudor rose motif. Description: Post Medieval silver button. The button is sub spherical and is constructed in to halves which have been soldered together. It has an integral suspension loop and is decorated on its outer face with four oval stylised flower? motifs set in solid borders. The button has a central nipple which is also contained by a border. Near the loop the button has a stamped mark, probably of the maker, which is hard to interpret. The button may date to the 17th Century. late Medieval or post medieval silver button, 9mm in diameter, 6mm high and weighing 1.98 grams. The button is solid and is spherical in form with an oval section. It has an oval shaped depression in its underside where a loop would have been attached.

Post Medieval silver button, 13mm in diameter and 3mm thick with a weight of 0.55 grams. The button is octagonal in form and domed. Its surface is divided into eight sections by thin threads of raised metal which form petals or teardrops around a central spherical boss. Within each of these sections is a twisted metal thread which fills the area, terminating in a swirl. The reverse is plain except for a soldered loop.

It is almost completly spherical except for a small depression which would have held the iron loop. The button is most probably 18th century although there are examples known from the 15th century.
