Roman silver finger ring fragment, 18mm long, 4mm wide and 2mm thick (hoop) with a weight of 2.48grams. The ring comprises the bezel and 'shoulder' fragment of the hoop. The bezel is oval in form (11mm long, 9mm wide and 6mm high) and rectangular in cross section. When viewed from the side, where it attaches to the hoop, it has a trapezoidal cross section, flaring outwards to the upper edge. Roman silver finger ring fragment, Length: 15 mm, width: 12 mm, thickness: 4.0 mm, weight: 5.49 grams. The object consists of about half a silver finger ring with an oval cross sectioned hoop which has a slight, flat linear projection at each adge. The hoop widens out, so that most of its upper half forms the bezel. This has a circular depression, which probably housed an intaglio, now missing.
