Post Medieval copper alloy hawking whistle, 72mm long, 38mm wide and 12mm thick with a weight of 45.28g. The object is sub triangular in form and rectangular in cross section and consists of three sections. Firstly is a circular cross sectioned hollow whistle with a semi-circular air hole in its upper surface. On the opposite to the hole is a rectangular cross sectioned shaft which is broken off and the break has the traces of part of a centrally placed circular hole. Undated copper alloy wheel part, 47mm long, 43mm wide and 3-6mm thick. The object is in good condition with a green/brown patina and weighs 116 grams. The object is shaped like half a tube, rectangular in form and semi-circular in section. Each end has a raised lip c.4mm deep. Its external face has three distinct surfaces, the central one has a rectangular recess and appears to be designed to hold the object in place. One side of the object, around the lip, has clear signs of wear, consistant with rotation and the whole of the inner surface has been worn smooth.

There is a possible G stamped on the base inside the cup. Its sides are 3mm thick and taper outwards slightly. In form it matches weights dating to the 12-14th centuries.
