Medieval copper alloy belt? mount, 34mm long, 23mm wide and 4mm thick. The mount is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 6.94 grams. The object is formed of two main areas, one is sub rectangular with two rounded protruding areas seperated by a central depression on its upper edge. Opposite this there is a sub circular area which may be a fluer de Lys device. The mount is hollow and slightly rounded. It has two rectangular sectioned prongs which are bent over and taper to a point. One of these is retaining a patch of woven fabric.

The object is sub rectangular in form and section. It is very worn, missing most of its decoration, but the dots forming the eyes of the animal head terminal can just be seen.
