Medieval copper alloy jetton, 26mm in diameter, 1mm thick and weighing 4.65grams. The object is french and is decorated with a large crown and bordered with an inscription. The inscription is largely missing, only a cross and letters AVE are visible, but it should read AVE MARIA GRASIA PLENA (Hail Mary, full of Grace). The reverse shows the traces of a large voided cross which may be bordered with a quatrefoil? no inscription is visible on this side.
