Medieval, copper alloy key handle, 33mm long, 23mm wide and 7mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 2.72grams. The key is sub circular in section and begins with a small section of shaft, 4mm long, decorated with two horizontal incised lines. The key then forms a hollow lozenge shape with protuding knops, C.2mm wide, at each side. There is a sub spherical collar below this with an incised lower border before the key continues as a single shaft. It has snapped off here and at its furthest end.

Roman copper alloy key, 31mm long, 14mm wide and 3.5mm thick. The object is in poor condition with a green patina and weighs 3.94g. The object is rectangular in form and section and is badly damaged. At one end it has a Y shaped terminal which is probably the base of a broken bow, and at the other end there is a rectangular protrusion which is part of the bit. The bit is set at right angles to the plane of the bow, suggesting a Roman date.

The key has a plain uncut rectangular bit attached to a stem which is sub-circular in cross-section. The bow is lozengiform externally and circular internally, with a sub-rectangular protrusion on each outer corner, at least one of which is decorated with an incised line where is joins the body.

Above this is a circular shaped protrusion which has a small bar crossing its middle. The bit is rectangular in form and sectionand is chanelled on both sides. It isdivided into four parts with ahalf depth,length ways cleft cut across by a full depth width ways cleft and has a further rectangular shaped recess on its outer edge.
