Roman copper alloy duck or swans head fitting, 42mm long, 20mm wide and 4mm thick. The object is in good condition with a green patina and weighs 13.45grams. The object is essentially a sub circular shaft which is curved to form a partial hook. It has a terminal which flattens, and curves upwards slightly, to form a stylised beak. Behind this are stylised 'almond' shaped eyes carved into a protruding ridge. Above this are two incised chevrons carved into the top of the head.
