Late Medieval copper alloy buckle, 16mm long, 11mm wide, 4mm thick and weighs 1.29grams. The buckle is rectangular in form with bowing sides and a rectangular cross section. It has a folded D shaped sectioned pin attached at its narrow end and a copper sheet roller on the opposite, wider end. The buckle matches no 140, in Whitehead, R. Buckles 1250-1800.

Copper alloy, medieval, D-shaped buckle with remains of pin.The buckle has a single loop D-shaped frame with a narrowed slightly offset bar. The outside edge of the frame is expanded with either a pin notch or a worn groove.The inside edge is bevelled. The surface is plain and flat. Less than half the pin remains which is looped around the central bar. Length 31mm, width 25mm, thickness 3mm, weight 5.59g. See Egan and Pritchard, 1991, Pg. 89, Pl.55, No. 390.

Copper-alloy medieval buckle and pin. The buckle is a single looped D-shaped buckle with pin. The frame is D-shaped in plan with a narrowed bar and a pin notch in the outside edge. The pin has a pointed tip a plain shaft and is looped around the bar with a collar on the loop end, it is sub-rectangular in section. The surface is plain and corroded. Length 34mm, width 25mm, thickness 2mm, weight 7.49g. See Egan and Pritchard, 1991, Pg. 90, fig 56, No. 397.

The buckle is made up of two parts, both with rectangular sections. The first is rectangular in form and has protruding rounded knops in each corner which have circular depressions in their upper surfaces. Medieval or early post Medieval copper alloy annular buckle, 53mm in diameter and 2mm thick. The buckle is in a fair condition with a quarter of its edge missing and has a brown patina. The buckle consists of a circular frame, 5mm wide, which is bevelled on both upper edges. The strap bar is 3mm wide and is also bevelled. There are no signs of any decoration. The buckle is similar to No. 251 in Whitehead, R. 'Buckles 1250-1800'

Medieval copper alloy buckle plate, 49mm long and 10mm wide. The object has a green patina and is in a fair condition. The object consists of a rectangular sectioned shaft, 2mm thick, which elongates slightly along its length. At the wide end it has a circular hole for the pin with a rectangular recess just above it. The metal in between this has snapped forming one hole. There is no sign of decoration.

The object consists of an oval loop, 20mm in diameter which is attached to a plate 24mm long and 9mm wide. The curved plate has three holes, one of which would have accomodated the pin. The frame is circular with a small triangular pin rest. The object is identical to No. 207 in Whitehead, R 'Buckles 1250-1800'

Fragment of a copper alloy sub-annular shoe or knee buckle, 25mm long and 15mm wide. It consists of two openwork circles joined together by a chevron shaped pin rest. On the lower outer edge there is a small triangular protrusion, that appears to represent a bird?, on each side. Thess would have joined it to the rest of the buckle. It is identical to No 613 in Ross Whiteheads 'Buckles' and dates to 1660-1720

Medieval D shaped buckle, 42mm long and 32mm wide. The buckle is in good condition with a green/black patina and weighs 11.58 grams. The buckle has been roughly cast with uneven edges. It consists of a straight shaft 4mm in diameter and 28mm long. From here the buckle turns and widens to form a D shaped loop. At its widest it is 10mm wide and 3mm thick. There is one horizontal incision in the centre of this, forming the pin rest. The buckle is completely undecorated. Is similar to an example found at Meols ( Griffith et al. 2007, 87, pl.13, no 460)

Post Medieval asymmetrical buckle, 24mm long, 17mm wide and 2mm thick. The object has a brown patina and traces of silvering all over its surface and weighs 2.90grams. The buckle is divided into two halves one is rectangular and has a scalloped edge with slightly protruding corners. The other side has a curved outer side with triangular knops protruding from each corner. The buckle is very similar to 577 in Whiteheads Buckles and dates to 1575-1700.
