The tweezers are complete and comprise of one sheet folded over with a central rounded incomplete suspension 'loop', 3mm wide, in the centre. Roman copper alloy finger ring, 25mm in diameter, 14mm wide , 6mm thick and weighing 8.16g. The ring is complete and has a raised circular bezel sitting on plain triangular shaped shoulders, which taper into a semi-circular cross sectioned loop. The bezel has very faint decoration which now comprises of two sub rectangular depressions set side by side in the centre. The sloping edge of the bezel may have transverse incised lines forming a border, just visible to the left (as shown in upper image). The ring fits Henig type XII.

The object consists of just over half an penannular brooch which has a flat sub rectangular terminal with a slight collar at its end and a prominent collar where it joins the circular? cross sectioned shaft. This has a patch of iron corrosion attached to it from a now missing pin. The form of the terminal suggests Fowler? type H.

Two medieval copper alloy vessel rim fragments from the same location. The larger fragment is 43mm in length, 22mm wide and 7mm thick with a weight of 46grams. This has a sub triangular form and a rectangular cross section with a slightly projecting rim, 14mm wide, with a slightly wider, curved lower edge. The object has a possible casting seam running vertiaclly down its length. The smaller fragment is 43mm in length, 22mm wide and 7mm thick, with a weight of 36.56gms. This is rectanglar in form and cross section and is plain.

The whole of the surface is silvered/tinned with the damage exposing the copper alloy core. The ring fits Henig type VIII.

Obverse: shows crowned XVI.s with VI D below? Possible crowned I stamp in upper left corner. The object is sub rectangular in form and cross section and consists of a circlar open loop which has a rectangular cross section, sitting on a slight collar above a plain hollow shank with an oval cross section. The bit sits at the base of the shank and is rectangular with a smal rectangular cut out in the centre of its upper and lower edges. Early medieval copper alloy pin, 27mm in length, 9mm in diameter and a weight of 2.93grams. The object has a slightly facetted globular head which is joined to the shank by a rounded raised collar. The shank is circular cross sectioned and 2.2mm in diameter. The head is decorated with a series of raised open circles, set in recessed borders. These have been stamped, as in one place they overlap slightly. The design suggests a date of c. 720 to 850, with similar examples such as SWYOR-2FFE70 LIN-95321C SWYOR-2FFE70

The object is sub rectangular in form and cross section and consists of a circular (c.20mmin diameter), rectangular cross sectioned plate which is undecorated. From the centre of its underside a triangular openwok loop emerges. This has a circular cross section and has its apex fixed to the plate, after which it bends to one side and projects past the plate. Between this and the edge there are four circular holes at cardinal points, for suspension. The irregular edge and surface suggest that it has been beaten from a sheet. Late medieval copper alloy weight, 1400-1500. Thickness: 4 mm, diameter: 18 mm, weight: 5.58 g The weight is circular in form and rectangular in cross section. It has a raised upper border and is stamped with a crown and a possible second symbol on either side of a central circular recess. Biggs (p.48) notes 15th century weights which were just stamped with a crown and also comments that they are similiar to coin weights which are also stamped with a lis, used to weigh nobles and dating to the 1420s.

Roman copper alloy object. 22mm in length, 11mm wide and 3mm thick with a weight of 3.00grams. The object is fragmentary and rectangular in form and cross section. It has a flat upper edge with a small projection, possibly the remains of a suspension loop? sitting above a horizontal raised lip It has bevelled and tapering sides which run into an incomplete lower edge. These edges are decorated with a series of transverse incised lines and the surface of the object has two rows of figure of eight shaped stamps. The objects form would suggest part of a toilet set or possible strap end?.

It has a raised outer border with an internal central oval border, forming two recesses. The outer one has traces of blue enamel in patches. The brooch has damaged edges and the reverse houses the remains of a ctachplate and an incomplete pin loop, sitting at opposite edges.

Its upper half has a spilt end to house the strap and this is damaged. Below that the object has slightly rounded sides and it then tapers in width and becomes thicker, terminating in a possible animal head terminal? this is now extremely worn. The object is probably a Thomas class B1 or B2.
