Roman copper alloy Polden hill type bow brooch, 27mm long, 22mm wide and 10mm thick with a weight of 7.43g. The brooch has hollow semi-circular cross sectioned wings sitting on a rectangular shaped, semi-circular cross sectioned platform from which emerges a semi-circular cross sectioned bow. This is decorated with a double incised elongated triangular motif covering the upper half of the bow. The brooch is missing its foot and its spring.

Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, hinged type brooch, 21mm long, 17mm wide and 8mm thick with a weight of 4.77g. The brooch has circular cross sectioned, hollow wings and a semi-circular cross sectioned bow which is decorated with a series of short incised lines forming a band running down its centre. The brooch is worn and is missing its foot and its hinged pin.

Late Iron age - early Roman copper alloy bow brooch, 56mm long, 15mm wide and 8mm thick with a weight of 20.31g. The brooch has a triangular cross sectioned curved bow which terminates in a plain head with a semi-circular plate protruding from the centre with two circular holes to hold a spring, now missing. One hole is filled with iron. The bow has a prominent ridge, is plain and tapers in width to a flat base plate, whose reverse houses a rectangular catch plate. Late Iron age to early Roman copper alloy Le Tene III bow brooch, 37mm in length, 9mm wide and 3mm thick with a weight of 2.98grams. The brooch is intact except for its pin. It consists of a circular cross sectioned curved bow which gradually widens and becomes sub rectangular in cross section towards its base to accommodate a very shallow catch plate. At its head it is a spring of four coils attached by a fold under the bow.

Roman copper alloy finger ring, 19mm in length, 13mm wide and 4mm thick with a weight of 4.01grams. The ring is missing most of its loop and has an oval shaped bezel with a sub rectangular cross section. This has a raised lip which surrounds a concave surface containing three sub-crescentric recesses which have possible traces of red enamel. The form of the ring conforms to Henig type 1, Guiraud type 1b/2a. The decoration is unusual but is of a similar style to KENT-EB629B

Medieval or Post Medieval copper alloy mount? 49mm in length, 48mm wide and 5mm thick with a weight of 39.63g. The object consists of a rectangular (rhomboid) plate which is attached to a hollow circular cross sectioned shaft, 9 mm in diameter. The surface of the mount is decorated with an embossed S shaped motif, possibly a swan or griffin? in an incised border. The plate has a small sub rectangular cut out on its upper edge nearest the shaft. The shaft also appears to be incomplete at both ends, making a function harder to determine.

Iron Age copper alloy beaded Torc fragment? 20mm in length, 12mm wide and 7mm thick with a weight of 3.5g. The object is rectangular in form with a V shaped cross section. The upper surface is formed of two sub spherical projections which are separated by a rectangular shaped recess. The objects underside has a V shaped recess. Bronze age copper alloy axe blade fragment, 27mm in length, 14mm wide and 6mm thick with a weight of 3.14g. The object is sub triangular in form and cross section and consists of a corner of a blade of a probable socketed axe. It has a slightly curved and damaged blade, 1mm thick at its tip. The fragment then widens out and is solid, but in a very damaged state. It was found in the same location as other prehistoric metal fragments (see LEIC-544574 and LEIC-54F15A) suggesting it may have been gathered for re-working?
