medieval copper alloy and gold buckle, 16mm long, 9mm wide and 2mm thick. The object is fair condition with a green patina and weighs 1.11 grams. The buckle is D shaped with a recessed pin bar and a flat pin rest with sub spherical knops on either side. The buckle has been heavily gilded all over its surface.

medieval copper alloy buckle plate, 26mm long, 18mm wide and 3mm thick. The buckle is in a good condition with a green patina (the finder has correctly not cleaned it, hence the mud). The object consists of a copper alloy plate which has been folded over to form two rectangles which would have been rivetted onto the belt, one rivet is visible on the front whilst two are visible on the reverse. The plate has three rectangular cut outs which create loops to allow room for the pin and pin bar which are both intact. The pin tapers and is 20mm long, it is attached to the pin bar by folding…

Post Medieval copper alloy double looped buckle fragment, 22mm wide and 32mm long. The object is in fair condition and weighs 4.59 grams. It represents just over half of a buckle and has rectangular sectioned 'loops' which are decorated with a scallop shaped motif which forms the pin rest and the terminals of the integral pin bar. Similar to 397 in Whiteheads Buckles.
