unknown object, 38mm long, 20mm wide and 2mm thick. the object is in fair condition and weighs 6.01grams. It consists of a rectangular sectioned shaft, 10mm long, which has a slightly rounded upper surface. This terminates with a rectangular shaped plate, 20mm x 18mm, which has two semi-circular nicks removed from its outer edge, forming and edge which looks like a three pronged fork. The reverse of the shaft is flat and has a rectangular scar in its centre, which could be from a catch plate?

Roman copper alloy plain hinged bow brooch, 26mm long, 22mm wide and 7mm deep. The object is in fair condition with a brown patina and weighs 2.98grams. The brooch has circular sectioned solid wings which sit above the bow at an angle and form a central rectangualr void, presumambly where the hinge fitted. The bow is triangular in section and is slightly curved. There is no sign of decoration on the brooch and no catchplate or pin present.

The brooch appears to be plain and is missing its spring and catchplate, despite damage to its wings and some pitting, has a good surface patina. The wings are short and their edges have worn away. Roman copper alloy polden hill brooch, 50mm long, 18mm wide and 15mm thick. The brooch is in fair condition with a green patina and weighs 12.68 grams. The brooch is missing its spring, pin and most of its catchplate, but its base can be seen, 20mm long. Its wings are short but have wornaway edges. One side shows decoration of horizontal recesses flanking a small ridge. The bow is sub rectangular in section and is decorated with two vertical ridges which appear to run its length. Roman copper alloy umbonate disc brooch, 27mm long, 15mm wide and 11mm thick. The brooch is in poor condition, being squashed and incomplete, it has a green patina and weighs 2.82 grams. The brooch has a hinged pin, whose mechanism protrudes from the edge of the body. It has a semi-circular catchplate which sits on a triangular protrusion placed opposite the hinge. The brooch has a hole in its domed centre, but at least two lines of triangular depressions and traces of enamel can still be seen decorating its surface.
