Roman copper alloy fantail brooch, 37mm long and 25mm wide. The brooch is quite worn and is missing its spring and pin, although the catchplate is still attached. The spring casing is decorated on each side with two vertical bands of short horizontal lines. In the centre is a ridge running down into the body of the brooch. This consists of a diamond shaped surface with a small spherical knop on each side. In the centre of this is a circle with two raised diagonal lines across it. Copper alloy object which appears incomplete, 35mm long and 15mm wide. This object has a roughly semi-circular upper edge and has three holes lumped together in the centre of this, with traces of a fourth hole where it has been damaged. This decoration is contained within a flat area roughly leaf shaped. Beneath this the object widens considerably, becoming rounded. The thickest part is in the centre benath the decoration and this area has a rounded lower surface. Towards the edges the object becomes thinner and curves downwards where it appears to be broken off.

Roman copper alloy Polden Hill brooch of flat wing ends type. The brooch has a very short spring case with rolled edges, the spring is intact and part of the pin is present. It has a very long bow which tapers very slightly, terminating in a spherical knop. The upper quarter of this is decorated with a recessed ridge covered with diagonal lines. It has an unusually large catchplate which forms about 2 thirds of its full length. It is 55mm long and 20mm wide.

Bone counter or gaming piece, 18mm in diameter and 10mm high at widest part. The object is circular and has a faint and roughly fashioned recessed edge. viewed from the side it is wedge shaped, though this appears to be a result of its rough manufacture, rather than a deliberate action. The piece could be Anglo-saxon as bone was commonly used for gaming pieces.

Fragment of a copper alloy sub-annular shoe or knee buckle, 25mm long and 15mm wide. It consists of two openwork circles joined together by a chevron shaped pin rest. On the lower outer edge there is a small triangular protrusion, that appears to represent a bird?, on each side. Thess would have joined it to the rest of the buckle. It is identical to No 613 in Ross Whiteheads 'Buckles' and dates to 1660-1720

Anglo-Saxon cruciform brooch foot, cast copper alloy, 60mm long and c.10-12mm wide. The top half of this fragment (30mm) is decorated with horizontal lines. The upper part of this, about 10mm, juts forward and would have formed the lower half of the arched part of the brooch. It has one line deirectly below this. About 6mm further down are two lines, 8mm further still there are four lines close together. The lower half is in the form of an aminal head. Copper alloy mount, 28mm in diameter and 6mm high. The mount has a quatrefoil form consisting of four domes which merge together to form a central cross shaped depression. The mount is hollow and has its rivet attached, its missing one quarter of its edge. It is quite corroded giving it a green and red patina, but it appears to have very slight traces of gilt? Given its form it is probably Medieval.

Silver? Medieval coin, 14mm in diameter. Obverse shows crowned figure facing forward with prominant 'bobbed' hair. The figure appears to be dressed in a dotted garment, perhaps suggesting armour or ermine? The portrait is in a beaded border and there are small sections of an inscription which are too faded to read.
