Fragmentary copper alloy sheet 39 x 43mm at widest part. The object has some original edge present but is so damaged it is imppossible to suggest an original shape. It does have one fixing hole present and you can just make out the shape of a keyhole on the left. Below the keyhole void is an oblong of cross hatching carved into its surface (some can just be made out above the void as well) and to the right is a triangluar shape with incised circles filling it. Leaf shaped copper alloy mount, 37mm long and 28mm wide. The object is very thin and is heavily embossed. The edges have angular scalloping with a series of raised and sunken lines running across the surface to the centre, similar to a scallop shell. There is one raised dot in each of the sunken lines which form a semi circle around the object, close to the outside edge. Copper alloy Nuremberg token or jetton 26mm in diamter. This is a reckoning counter and was used on 'exchequer' boards in a similar way to an abacus. This token was made by Hans Schultes in Germany between 1553 and 1574. The obverse shows the lion of St Mark, which has wings, a halo and is carrying the Gospel in his front paw. This image is enclosed by a inscribed border which is impossible to make out. The revserse shows an orb summonted by a cross. This is enclosed in a double border consisting of three triangles joined together with crescents.

This copper alloy object would have formed part of a chafing dish handle. These were used to heat food by placing dishes on charcoal or hot water contained in the chafing dish. It is 85mm long, 8mm wide and square in profile for one third of its length and 12-14mm wide and flat for the remainder. The lower, square section has one rivet hole with rivet intact in the centre, 10mm in. This would have fastened it to the side of the dish. Charles I Rose Farthing, 13mm in Diameter. The obverse shows a double arched crown with two crossed sceptres that cut across the outer inscription, alomost to the edge of the coin. The reverse shows a large stylised rose (it looks like a cartwheel) and a bordered inscription. coin badly worn so difficult to see inscription.

Circular domed mount 26mm in diameter and 5mm high. It has a border of 6mm it is deivided into two halfs one 3mm wide is plain the other half is made up of scallops facing inwards which gives a wavy line effect in the middle of the border. In the centre is a man mounted on a horse, shown in relief. The background has an orange material encrusted to its surface, perhaps the traces of some sort of enamel? 17th Century Copper alloy Button. The button is domed and 23mm in diameter. It has a small circle carved into its centre which is surrounded by parellel lines which form a cross. In each quarter of the cross a motif is repeated. Its a group of three circles, one above two, which float over a downward facing crescent. The reverse is plain and has a sturdy button loop attached. It has a black patina to it which suggests it has been coated in bitumin, which was a common practice to protect the object. It is almost identical to one in 'detector finds' by Gordon Bailey (No 25, P.19)

Silver Half Groat of Elizabeth I, 15mm in diameter. The obverse shows a late portrait; the queen faces left with hair down her back and a high ruff. Behind her head are two pellets. The inscription (in beaded border) reads 'Rosa Sine Spina(rose without thorns)E.DG' there is an image of a dismembered hand, which is the mint mark for 1590-92. The reverse shows a royal crest with an overlaid long cross with foliate terminals. The quarters contain two lots of three fluer de lys and three lions. The inscription reads 'civitas london'.

Silver half groat of Elizabeth I, 17mm in diameter. This coin is very worn and no inscription can be seen. The obverse is so worn that you can just see a shadow of a bust. The reverse is slightly more readable and the edge of the crest and the long cross can be seen. Identified by finder as 1575 3rd issue.

Silver Elizabeth I clipped shilling, 23mm in diamteter. The coin has all of the inscription clipped off. The obverse is very worn, only the outline of the bust can be seen (facing left) and a portion of the clothing. The reverse is clearer, the royal crest and long cross can be clearly seen, but there is no date visible.

Silver Elizabeth I sixpence, 25mm in diameter. The obverse is very worn so no bust can be seen and only part of the inscription can be read. (ELIZA-----. G(?) AN-.---ET--B.REGINA) The reverse is better preserved. The royal crest (of lions and fleur-de-lys) and long cross are clear, as is the date 1586. Copper Alloy 'Dandy' button, 30mm in diamter. The object is domed and has the remains of a loop at the back. It is engraved with a geometric design formed of a maltese shaped cross with a diamond motif and four circles at its centre with four crescents flanking it. The design is completed by a series of circles around the base. It contains some traces of silvering.

Copper alloy shoe or knee buckle, 25mm long and 16mm wide. The buckle is dated 1660-1720 and were used largely as decoration. It is slightly rounded overall to curve around the body. It is rectangular in shape and has semi-circular protrusions on each side. The buckle is decorated with radiating incised lines on these protrusions. From here the surface is cut away forming a rounded depression running vertically along the frame. This becomes a ridge on the inner edge of the buckle. Copper alloy sub rectangular one piece buckle, 24x24mm. The buckle has a round strap bar 3mm in diamteter, which is attached to the frame with wide domed terminals. From here the buckle is D shaped in profile, the outside edge of the upper and lower part curves outwards sharply and then turns inward to form the shoulders. From here it curves and flattens and towards the centre it widens into an oval. Georgian copper-alloy two-piece shoe buckle, 47mm long and 42mm wide. The buckle has four roundels, one in the centre of each side; in between these the frame is beaded. In each corner triangular shapes make up pointed terminals. The holes that would have held the missing bar are filled with iron corrosion. It is very similar to no. 675 in Ross Whitehead's book 'Buckles 1250-1800'.
