Silver Medieval penny of Edward I or II, 18mm in diameter and 1mm thick. The coin is in good condition and has been very clearly struck. The obverse signs of the coin being struck twice. The first being off centre and rotated as can be seen clearly in the lettering. It has also been deliberately bent in two (possibly three) places as though attempting to halve it by hand? Obverse shows forward facing bust, inscription reads +EDWRANGLDHSHYB. The reverse shows long cross with three pellets in each quarter. Inscription reads CIVITASLONDON
