Early Medieval Silver penny of Edward the Confessor, North 818, minted presumably by moneyer Wulfwig or Wulfric at an uncertain mint. EMC 2005.0011 14mm in diameter, 1mm thick with a weight of 0.96grams. The coin is a small flan type with voided cross (seaby 1175, B.M.C.II) There is a small amount of damage to the left of the bust where the border has been lost, but is otherwise in good condition.

Late saxon silver penny of Baldred of Kent, 19mm in diameter, 1mm thick and 1.15grams in weight. The penny is a Group I bonnet type penny which dates to 823-825 and shows a bonneted bust facing right. The inscription reads +BELDRE[D]R[EX CA]NT. The reverse shows a two line inscription reading DRUR/CITS which is surrounded by the moneyers inscription [SIGE]STEFMONET. The coin is in good overall condition but fragile. Three sections of the edge have broken off which makes reading the full inscription difficult.
