Medieval gilt copper-alloy swivel mount, 41 mm long, 8 mm wide and 7 mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a weight of 5.85grams. The object is rectangular in form and section and is almost complete. It consists of a central circular collar, 8 mm high, which would have held formed one have of the swivel mechanism. On either side of this the bar consists of ornate U shaped sections with serif like terminals. A Post medieval copper-alloy button, dating to AD 1500 - 1800. Thickness: 10 mm, diameter: 20 mm, weight: 4.48 g. The button his formed of a domed circular shaped plate which is decorated with an incised circle surrounding a central ciecular depression. Roman copper alloy finger ring, 17mm in diameter, 11mm wide and bezel and 2mm thick. The ring is in fair condition, missing part of its band, and weighs 2.01grams. The bezel is oval in form and rectangular in section and is decorated with four sub triangular cells which once held enamel. It has plain shoulders which taper in width to form the band. Robert Kenyon, following on from the work by the French scholars P-A. Besombes and M. Bompaire (in Trésors Monétaires XXI, 2005), is working through the British examples of Claudian coinage recorded through the PAS assigning many so-called Claudian contemporary copies to Roman auxiliary mints which operated at Lyons (Gaul) and in Spain. This example is a native copy.

Roman ? silver gilt ring fragment, 11mm long, 8mm wide and 3mm thick with a weight of 1.24g. The object comprises about half the bezel of a signet type ring. It is triangular in form and D shaped in cross section. Its wide broken end has a curved recess to take an intaglio and the upper surface is decorated on each edge with a wide concave band which is gilded and inside this is a narrow incised line. These converge as the object narrows to its loop. This is probably matches by a similar one around the edge of the bezel. The object is very worn.
