Medieval? copper alloy bar 41mm long and 9mm deep. The object is in good condition with a green/brown patina and weighs 5.83grams. The object consists of a central open circle 8mm in diameter. This is flanked on either side by a bar made up of semi-circular shapes which have splayed terminals. One side appears complete and has two semi-circles which terminate in a straight edge, whilst the other side has one and a half semi-circles. There are small traces of gilding in patches. The object resembles a purse bar or some sort of swivel fitting but I can't find a parallel.
