Unidentified copper alloy L shaped object, 31mm in length, 22mm wide and 8mm thick with a weight of 7.41grams. The object appears to be incomplete and consists of a sub circular faceted shaft, with a vertical depression running across is 'front' face near its base. Below this are two sub circular depressions, one at each edge, and below this is a projection at right angles which has a D shaped cross section and a small raised collar across its curved upper surface, just under half way across its extant length. Beyond this the object tapers and terminates in a rounded end.

The weight is ovoid in form and sub rectangular in cross section and has an integral ovoid suspenion loop at one end. The opposite end elongates slightly, forming a tear drop shape. The object has been roughly cast and whilst it is probably a weight, this cannot be confirmed. The surface has been affected by iron staining due to the presence of large amounts of ironstone in the ground. The colour otherwise could suggest a medieval or later date.
