A very small iron corner strap of uncertain date. Heavily corroded strip of iron with rounded ends, bent at a right angle and pierced by a rivet at each end. Used to reinforce right-angle joins, a number were used in the construction of wooden chests found at Colchester (Crummy 1983, Fig. 91) and Milton Keynes (Manning, Marney and Zeepvst 1987, Fig. 58) and in some coffins from Lankhills (Powell 2010, Fig. 4.23).
