A very unusual Middle Bronze Age looped pin dating to c.1400-1250BC (the 'Ornament Horizon'). The pin has a dark brown patina with small green surface pits caused by corrosion. The pin has broken across its projecting loop and the lower part of the shaft is missing. There is a casting void visible in the break. A diminutive silver-gilt brooch in the form of intertwining serpents. The pin is missing. At least three heads appear to be visible, while one head and a probable tail appear to be incomplete. The thicker body of a larger snake is clear and this clearly has a head at either end. A Medieval silver seal matrix or pendant with a looped extension on the apex in the form of an animal head, with a mane and pellet eyes. The head has open jaws which hold an unclear object. Reversed, on the bevelled frame of the pendant, is the inscription+ VT MIHI CREDEMEO which may be translated as Believe This From Me (John Cherry, pers. comm). The matrix has a central recess measuring 9.71 x 8.06mm and 2.04mm deep which may have held a Roman intaglio. This coin is not published and is the only example of its type in Sam Moorhead's corpus for a new edition of RIC. A Post Medieval conical silver lace tag made from sheet silver. The terminal is pointed while the attachment end flares outwards. Around the rim of the flared end are four small circular attachment holes for sewing onto the lace. Similar tags, albeit rather smaller are visible in contemporary portraits. A number have been recorded on the PAS database, including ESS-AADCF1; NMS-F13D26; WILT-7AC072; and SOMDOR-63EDF3 Dimensions: Length 32.96mm; Weight 2.09g.

A late Anglo-Saxon cast silver strap-end on the back of which is scratched a Runic inscription. The strap-end is incomplete and slightly bent. The attachment end is missing and there is some loss to the animal-headed terminal, at the snout. A small post medieval silver thimble, now squashed and distorted, probably dating to the second half of the 17th century. The thimble is 16mm long. The pits are stamped on a diagonal grid. Around the rim is a decorative band comprising swags, foliate shapes and flowers, a diagonal grid infilled with flowers, and at least one human mask. There is no maker's mark.

A silver cuff link button, now distorted and incomplete. The circular button bears a flaming heart crossed by two arrows. The back is hollow and retains an applied attachment loop. Cufflinks and buttons with this design of the flaming heart pierced by two arrows are considered to have originally been produced to commemorate the marriage of Charles II to Catherine of Braganza in 1662, but continued to be used as a general symbol of love and marriage until the end of the century. An incomplete early medieval silver hooked tag with a triangular plate. The plate originally had two rivet holes for attachment, one of which has broken off. The hook itself is also missing. The plate is decorated with a stylised plant motif within a beaded frame, and the junction between hook and plate is ornamented with a stylised animal head. The back of the hooked tag is plain and the condition overall is damaged and fairly worn in places.
