Treasure Case 2006 T151. Date: 15th century Description: Fragment of silver medieval iconographic finger ring. What remains of the ring are the bezel and the shoulders of the hoop. The bezel is sub rectangular in plan. It is slightly bevelled with a raised line dividing the bezel lengthways. To either side of the line is a crudely incised figure of a saint. The line that divides the bezel continues onto each shoulder but is much more pronounced. To either side of this line, the shoulders of the hoop are significantly grooved. Cast copper alloy bead. The bead is circular in plan and hexagonal in section being bi-conical. It is of regular thickness with the circular perforation centrally set. There is raised band running around the bead, flanked to either side by a narrow circumfral groove. A circumfral groove also runs around the perforation to each side. No casting seam is visible. The original surface survives mostly intact with a dark green patina, with areas of damage and wear showing as lighter green. The bead has a diameter of 14.42mm, is 10.22mm thick and weighs 6.04g. Incomplete, cast lead, post-medieval cloth seal. The object represents one half of the complete seal. It is a disc, being circular in plan and flat in section. The flat shank that would have linked this disc with its pair is now missing. One face of the disc is marked with a crude hexagram (star of David), suggesting it may be a kosher seal. A similar seal is reported from Lincolnshire as LIN-290B62. the seal is 20.33mm in diamter, 2.22mm thick and weighs 4.74g.

Complete copper alloy tweezers. The tweezers are formed from a single length of metal that is bent and curved into a semicircular loop at the mid point.
