Copper alloy VESSEL. A cast copper alloy decorative pouring spout in the shape of a dog’s head. The spout emerges from the mouth, is circular in section and has an internal diameter of 6.12mm. The head has vertically projecting ears that run down the sides of the head which are oval in shape. The head has a prominent brow and a ridge running along its length. The eyes are slightly recessed. The underside of the dog’s head is flat. A symmetrical, flat copper-alloy strap mount with two integral spikes on the reverse, both broken. One is bent and twists away from the mount at 45 degrees, the other is straight but has broken off. The mount has sub-oval ends and is decorated with a central lozenge-shaped recess; there are the remains of further lozenge-shaped recesses either side of this. Its dimensions are 22.75mm x 11.97mm x 12.38mm and weight 3.72g.

A copper-alloy drop handle from furniture, probably originally paired with an escutheon plate. It is tear drop shaped with a knop at one end. The other (attachment) end has broken off. It is undecorated with a convex front and a concave back. Its dimensions are 36.90mm x 20.01mm x 5.64mm and weight 5g.

Copper-alloy double-looped trapezoidal buckle of probably 17th century date. The short sides of the frame angle to a central point incorporating a notch for the pin on both sides, and there are sub-oval knops on each external corner of the frame. There is moulded decoration on the loops and a lobed protrusion at either end of the strap bar. Part of the pin remains. Its dimensions are 34.36mm x 22.50mm x 6.05mm and weight 5.24g.

A fragment from a copper-alloy two-piece sub-rectangular buckle frame of 18th century date. The fragment comprises part of one short side and long side only. Where the frame thickens on the long side there is a drilled hole for a separate spindle, with a transverse groove either side of the spindle hole. The corner is rounded with incised decoration on the internal edge. The front is convex, the back is undecorated. Its dimensions are 50.65mm x 15.46mm x 13.47mm and weight 12.25g.

Copper alloy circular object with opposing edge projections and an open circular centre. At one side of the frame is a trapezoidal pierced projection which narrows before joining to a slight squaring at the edge of the frame. The hole is circular and slightly off centre, this is an attachment point. Set opposite is a tri-lobed projection with a large central lobe and groove above. The front of the object has a flat outer frame and a lipped, concentric inner frame with a chamfered surface. The back is largely flat but has a hollowed channel behind the main circular frame.
