A copper-alloy pin, probably a buckle pin from a 'locking' buckle of medieval date. The object is formed by a large cylindrical element, through which a large bar presumably passed, with a sharply pointed pin attached to one side. The pointed element is flat and seems quite short in comparison to the size of the cylindrical element.

Incomplete copper alloy buckle with composite rigid plates and integral forked spacers. Only a small section of the oval frame survives. The bar is offset and constricted for the pin. Beneath the bar there are two slightly thicker rectangular elements either side of the pin constriction, forming a pin slot. These elements are then recessed for the plates to form the forked spacers. There is a rivet hole in each of the recessed sections of the rectangular elements. The forks extend from the outer edges of the recessed rectangular elements and taper to points. One of these is now …

Copper alloy rectangular buckle with plate. The frame is generally rectangular although the sides are slightly convex. The sides are generally rectangular in section and have a raised ridge just before the junction with the outer edge and bar. The outer edge appears to have been constricted for the roller which is present but is now corroded to the frame. The copper alloy is bent around the bar and tapers to a point. The sheet copper alloy lo…

Copper alloy oval double looped buckle. The frame is flat on the reverse, slightly convex on the upper surface with slightly bevelled inner edges. The outer edges are widened.
