Fragment, probably from an Iron Age torc or bracelet, or a Roman bracelet. Two circular-sectioned strands of gold, each tapering slightly from one cut end to the other, twisted around each other. Total length 39mm. Diameter of strands at narrow end circa 2.5mm, diameter at the thicker end circa 3.5 - 4mm. Weight 7.5g. For potentially similar examples see PAS-845331 (Iron Age torc), SWYOR-CFE7F7 (Iron Age bracelet) and a 3rd-century bracelet in the collections of the British Museum (museum number 1883,1213.375).

Iron Age socketed terminal mount in the form of a bull's head. Circular-sectioned socket filled with orange-stained soil, perhaps from iron corrosion, with four evenly spaced rivet holes between two very fine engraved lines around the edge. One of the rivet holes is broken through and there is a ragged crack extending 11mm from the edge, possibly caused by internal corrosion forcing the socket apart. Circular openwork plate consisting of an oval-sectioned frame with two conjoined roundels forming a bar across the centre with pelta-shaped apertures to either side. There is an engraved line around the outer edge of the frame, which is slightly damaged and corroded in places. Upper part of a beehive rotary quern in coarse grained sandstone. Sub-circular, with wide off-centre hopper tapering slightly towards the base, circular handle-slot in side which penetrates through to the hopper. On the upper edge there is a wedge-shaped groove with a u-shaped profile, 40mm long and 20mm wide at maximum. Diameter at base 240 - 255mm. Height 145mm. Behive querns were in use over a long period and are not very closely dateable. They are known from Iron Age and Roman contexts.

An incomplete Early Iron Age copper alloy socketed leather-working knife. The socket tapers towards a pair of transverse mouldings before flaring for the widley splayed blade, which thins towards the missing cutting edge. The upper part of the socket, and the cutting edge are missing, with irregular breaks. There is an orange / brown patina over the surface. Length at least 45mm. Width of cutting edge at least 35mm. Length of blade at least 26mm. Length of socket at least 19mm. Maximum surviving external diameter of socket 12mm. Cf. Savory (1980, fig.45, no.3 - 6).

A hoard consisting of two terrets and a mount. 1. A complete oval winged or lipped terret. The attachment bar is recessed and rectangular in section with circular mouldings at either end. The circular-sectioned ring, which tapers from either side of the attachment bar to the apex, has three wing or lip like mouldings, the one at the apex being slightly smaller than those to either side. A distorted Iron Age/Roman terminal from a penannular bracelet. D-sectioned, with slightly expanded terminals divided into sections by four transverse grooves. The surviving fragment is now almost straight. It is 53mm long and the terminal measures 9 x 5.5mm. For similar examples, see PAS database record number LEIC-F3CBE8, and Crummy (1983, 44, no.1717). This example dates from 800 BC - 410 AD.

An Iron Age miniature terret ring measures 24 x 25mm. It is sub-triangular in section with a slight bordering moulding on the inner edge of one face which expands at both ends to form a transverse collar at either end of the inset oval-sectioned attachment bar. The bordering moulding may originally have been visible on both faces, but is now damaged on one side. It dates fromt the Late Iron Age.

An Iron Age-Late Saxon wound glass bead. It is long and circular-sectioned, with a circular longitudinal hole. The sides of the bead are irregular, swelling on one side and remaining fairly straight on the other, before narrowing at either end, with the spiral from the winding process clearly visible. The pierced ends are slightly irregular, but not broken. The glass is opaque, and very dark blue, appearing almost black. It is 21mm in length and has a maximum diameter of 8mm.
