Roman copper alloy coin secured in a possible medieval strap end. The roman coin, Q-Radiate, is of Allectus In Britain (AD 293-6) (Reece Period 14), (VIRTVS AVG), Galley left with mast, cabin and unclear crew; no waves. RIC V, pt 2, p. 569, cf. no. 128. This coin has been considered for Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC. The strap-end is of simple, sheet copper alloy folded type with irregular sides (maximum width 11.2mm).
