A complete lead alloy medieval ampulla dating from about AD 1300-1500. The ampulla is flask-shaped and damaged on one side and at the neck. Both loops are present but distorted. One face of the body is obscured. The other side has a crescent filled with a raised lattice pattern. This style of ampulla usually dates from the 14th to early 16thcenturies (Spencer 1990:57-62). On the reverse is a central casting seam with a large U-shaped loop towards one end and a small curled C-shaped catch-plate towards the other; the pin is missing. It measures 20.33mm …

A complete lead weight of uncertain date. The weight is conical with a sub-circular base, and irregular mouldings which taper to flattened apex. A central perforation is present on the base and continues through the length of the object to the apex. Weights were cast locally in lead from the Roman period onwards for a wide variety of uses and are hard to date precisely. Therefore, due to a lack of contextual evidence and any diagnostic features it is not possible to date this object any more closely.
