Part of a Roman copper-alloy Colchester-derivative brooch, dating from the mid to late 1st century AD.
Only the head and upper part of the bow survive intact; the lower bow, spring and pin are absent, having been lost in antiquity. The damaged wings have a C-shaped cross section and at the centre of the head are the remains of two perforated lugs. These lugs extend into the vertical ridge at the centre of the upper bow.

Part of a Roman copper-alloy T-shaped brooch, dating from the late 1st to 2nd century AD.
The brooch was originally hinged, the copper-alloy axis bar protruding from both ends of its cylinder. The remaining length of pin has been attached to the bar via a slit in this cylinder. Projecting from the back of the axis bar cylinder is the flat upper face of the bow. A damaged chain loop is located at the junction between the cylinder and bow. An incomplete cast copper alloy one-piece Nauheim derivative brooch dating to the Late Iron Age / early Roman period c. AD 43-80. The brooch is missing most of the spring curls and the pin, however the rest of the bow and the catchplate are intact but bent. There is a row of parallel transverse lines down the bow of the brooch.

An incomplete copper-alloy Nauheim-derivative brooch of Late Iron Age to Early Roman date.
The bowis of flat section and has straight sides which converge towards the bottom, where it has been flattened to form a catchplate. At the upper end, the bow cvurve downwards, tapering into an upward-curving remnant of the integral spring.

A copper-alloy Roman disc brooch with enamelling (poorly preserved)
The flat-sectioned disc has a shallow setting in its upper surface, in which there are traces of red enamel and a second, lighter, corroded, enamel. A rib, moulded in low relief, extends across the reverse, its straight sides converging towards one end. Located at the wider end of this rib, the pin hinge comprises two right-angled, perforated tabs. At the narrower end of the rib is the catchplate, comprised of a single right-angled lug and missing its rolled outer edge.

A copper-alloy late Iron Age-Roman bow brooch of nauheim derivative type with a flat bow. It is incomplete as the spring is incomplete, pin missing and catchplate incomplete and worn. The bow head narrows with curved sides into the circular section spring, three coils of the spring survive. The bow is flat and although worn has traces of a longitudinal line down the centre, it tapers towards the foot from 4mm to 0.97mm in width. It measures 35.76mm in total length.

An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman plate or disc brooch, probably of continental origin and dating from the second century AD. The brooch has a circular body with a central projection terminating in a small solid disc. The field of the main body is filled with a white enamel, much of which survives, with small round cells (now devoid of thier inserts) spaced equidistant around the circumference. A complete medieval enamelled copper-alloy heraldic horse harness pendant, dating to the 13th to 14th century. The pendant is in the shape of shield with a flat top and curved sides. The upper edge has an integrally cast suspension loop set at right angles to the pendant, and set slightly forwards of the front. The loop has been broken through at its top and twisted somewhat; all presumably evidence of the act that led to its loss. The slightly bent but full length cast copper alloy brooch pin. The ring would have allowed it to pivot on the hoop of a penannular brooch and is decorated with parallel lines and mouldings. A medieval copper-alloy T-shaped buckle of 13th- or 14th-century date complete with pin. The frame is broadly D shaped, but it has an elaborately moulded pin rest. At the centre of the straight edge an open central rectangular projection creates the vertical bar of the 'T'. This projection extends into a short length of solid rectangular plate ending in a terminal loop, slightly angled externally; the loop is defined where it begins by a small, projecting ridge at each side.
