A complete Silver gilt finger ring of early Modern dating (early 19th Century). Formed of a broad silver hoop, partly gilded; three horizontal bands with punched decoration applied in clumps. In the absence of anything comparable in the collections of the British Museum it is difficult to date this ring with any accuracy but it is unlikely to be earlier than the 19th century. An enamelled gold barrel-shaped link of late 18th to early 19th Century dating. This gold link bears traces of blue, green and white enamel forming a pattern of white dots in the centre flanked by a blue band and a wreath in green. On examination at the British Museum, no evidence was found to date this link pre-1704. It is a characteristic type of the late 18th or early 19th century. An incomplete silver pin, with a hollow-stamped bird finial, of 19th Century dating. A pin with a hollow-stamped bird finial, in two pieces (the bird is separate); there is nothing comparable in the British Museum collections, but this object is certainly not earlier than the 19th century. As the pin is certainly not earlier than 19th Century, and as it is a single find, it falls outside of the requirements of the Treasure Act 1996 and should not be considered to be Treasure. A gold pennanular brooch. The panannular frame is 26mm in diameter and 3mm wide. It is decorated with floriate design which appears to have been etched into a wider sheet and then shaped into its current form. The terminals are domed and adorned with filigree (alternate triangles and circles) and topped with a square cut green glass stone which sits atop the dome. the base and green glass have filigree borders. A gold Post-Medieval finger-ring with external relief decoration. The decoration consists of a delicate geometric design, which may have once held enamel. The interior of the finger-ring bears the inscription 'A FRENDES GYFT' in upper case. Discussion: This finger-ring may have once held enamel, there are 3 similar examples in the British Museum's collection (1961.1202.130, 1961.1202.459 and 2003.0506.1), one of which still retains the original enamel (2003.0506.1).

A gold posy ring. The outer hoop is plain and the finger-ring is D-shaped in section. This ring has been squashed virtually flat so it is difficult to tell what the original section was (ie whether it was more D shaped than it appears now), but the use of the long 'S' in the inscription suggests a 17th century date. Part of the inscription is illegible because if the damage to the ring, but I am fairly sure that the full wording would have been: 'God for ever bless us together'. The frame/ base is made using a strip of gold sheet, rectangular in cross section, of which both edges have been turned at a right angle to create a small ridge which is slightly curved over the central element when complete.
