Object type: PENDANT
Broad period: MODERN
County: Kent
Workflow stage: Published Find published
19th century gold spherical bead pendant This pendant is formed of a hollow spherical bead with a triple thread of twisted wire round the centre and lozenges of granulation applied in two rows above and below the twisted wire. The pendant loop is formed of a tube for a chain to pass through, the openings edged with applied wire. The regular placing of the grain work decoration and the form of the pendant loop suggests a date in the 19th century. There is no evidence to date this object pre 1705.
