Description: Socketed axehead, all of mouth missing (ancient break), cutting edge missing (recent damage), faceted octagonal body. A small faceted fragment, probably of the same axe, is lodged in the jagged aperture, which has been squashed by hammering. The findspot is c.20m east of another incomplete socketed axehead found in March 1985. Date: Late Bronze Age, c.1000 - c.700 BC. Dimensions: Length >86mm (97mm including lodged fragment). Lower bow and foot of silver bow brooch, either a P-shaped or a Crossbow. The undecorated foot tapers gently to the terminal, and the catchplate extends the full length of its rear. There is a slight concavity at the junction with the bow. This is of trapezoidal section with the narrowest face forwards, and tapers very gently towards the break. Again no decoration is present. Date: 3rd century AD. Dimensions: Surviving length 26mm. Max. width 4mm. Weighing 2.11g.

Hollow head of silver-gilt ball-headed pin, divided into two by raised horizontal median band. Each half is decorated with three filigree roundels, each containing a trefoil with central granule or pellet. In spaces between the circles an annulet and granule. Next to the hole for the missing shank is a looped length of silver wire. Parts of the surface worn. Dimensions: Diameter: 10mm. Note: Similar dress pins have been reported through the Treasure Act, such as Treasure Annual Report 2000, nos. 191 and 194.

Silver hawk-ring or vervel of Lewis and Richardson type C.ii, consisting of a D-section ring with a shield-shaped plate soldered to the flat outer face. Two incomplete medieval copper alloy possible strap-ends, "folded sheeting with wide gaps at the folds" (Egan and Pritchard 1991, 158-60), both tapering towards the attachment edge and with no decoration present, 13th - 14th century: - almost all of one half missing, two rivet holes near the attachment edge, length 32.5mm, width 17.1 - 15.6mm. - part of one half missing, two rivet holes arranged longitudinally, one probably replacing or reinforcing the other, length 20.5mm, width 10.5 - 10mm.

Middle Saxon/Late Saxon cast copper alloy cruciform harness mount. The four equally sized arms are decorated with moulded acanthus-derived ornament, small drilled blind holes and with four flat bar-mounts, each secured by two rivets. The bossed centre is surmounted by an X-shaped mount held in place by a dome-headed rivet in the centre and a smaller rivet at the end of each arm. Romano-British oval gilt plate brooch in very battered condition, setting, all of edge, pin, and most of pin lug and catchplate missing. Moulded decoration on the flange around the setting consists of a ring of zig-zag within a ring of ring-and-dot. The setting would probably have been a glass “Centre-boss”, cf.
