Post-medieval copper alloy strap slide with two integral flat-sectioned attachment spikes on the reverse near the ends. Faulty casting can be seen near one end in part of one side which is straight rather than curving and in the spikes which both spring from one of the sides rather than the centre.These have been turned inwards towards each other and, though they are now distorted, their tips would have overlapped, forming a gap for straps c.15mm wide but of uncertain thickness due to distortion.
