Roman copper alloy incomplete unidentified object, a strip turned downwards through almost 90 degrees before a break at both ends and with, in the centre, a circular bezel set with a blue glass cabochon. The sharp edge and the thinness of the strip suggests this is not part of a finger ring. Length and width 16.5 and 10mm. Thickness including stone 5.7mm. Mid 1st - 4th century.

Rather abraded Late Iron Age to Early Roman copper alloy toggle, cylindrical and expanding around a longitudinal loop, with eight transverse (engraved or moulded) grooves along the length and a small blind hole in the centre of both ends. The non-expanded ends are an unusual feature. Length 20.7mm. Diameter at ends 5 - 6mm. Width at mid-point 7.5mm. Length of loop 8mm. Weight 3.67g. 2nd century BC - 1st century AD.

Roman copper alloy plate brooch, pointed oval with a raised centre of the same shape in which there are twelve rectangular cells set transversely. Five contain blue glass, and the others may also have done so. Some are discoloured and others contain some yellowish material that is probably fixative. The base of the raised area is decorated with fine oblique grooves and on the incomplete surrounding flange, there are twenty punched ring-and-dots. Incomplete post-medieval copper alloy hooked book clasp, the flaring proximal end missing, the break truncated three openwork apertures. The sides taper gently towards the hook immediately before which there there are lateral projections decorated with a transverse groove between fine engraved lines. A copper alloy rivet lies close by within an area of fine longitudinal engraved lines. A few similar lines run from the apertures. A small central hole lies within two concentric punched rings. Extant length 68mm. Width 21.5mm. 16th century.

Silver button from a cufflink of Lewis' (2013) Form 1, Type A. The crown is surmounted by a cross. The two hearts are set well apart and one touches the crown. The hollow reverse is largely filled with solder in which a fragment of iron is fixed at the centre. This is indicative of repair. Diameter 12.7mm. Thickness 1.6mm. Weight 1.18g. c.1660 - c.1714.
