Post-medieval shoe buckle, oval copper alloy frame with an iron spindle, tongue-shaped chape of folded copper alloy sheet with incomplete iron stud, and an incomplete iron pin. Cf. Whitehead 2003, no. 601, but decorated with multiple radial grooves over all the front face except above the spring housings, and thus bearing some resemblance to ibid. nos. 280 and 284. Frame 20.5 x 16.5mm. Chape 20 x 9mm. Overall length 28mm. c.1660 - c.1720

Part of a post-medieval copper alloy rowel spur with oval-sectioned sides, one far from complete and missing its terminal, the other little more than a stump. The sides meet at a low crest flanked by pairs of oblique grooves. The short neck comprises three ribbed mouldings, and most of the rowel box is missing. Extant length 60mm. 17th century.

Fragment of a medieval copper alloy tongue-shaped strap end, part of a cast front plate with a transverse groove near the break and a rivet hole above a small knop with a longitudinal groove. The reverse is covered in solder which also blocks the rivet hole. The solder probably secured a full-width spacer. Extant length 21mm. Width 9.5mm. 14th century.
