Incomplete post-medieval copper alloy double-oval buckle frame, just over half survives, both loops oval, with a lobe at the ends of the bar and a moulded rosette in the centre of the surviving edge. The rosette is poorly cast. Rust on the bar suggests an iron pin. The form is comparable with Whitehead 2003, no. 408. An example from Camber Castle was found in a context dated 1543-1637 (Biddle et al. 2001, 260, fig. 7.2 no. 27). Extant length 30mm. Width 27mm. c.1550 - c.1650.

The exterior is engraved with two saltires within rectangular frames and, on the proximal end, with eight radial lines (i.e. a cross on a saltire). Cf. NMS-2E5E73Z, LON-9FD153 and LEIC-026CDC. Length (excluding remains of tang) 15mm. Width 12mm. Thickness 11mm. The tang is wider, 14.5mm. 16th century.
