Fragment of medieval copper alloy composite tongue-shaped strap-end, front plate with copper alloy rivet through a separate cast scallop-shaped knop, attachment end missing. Before the knop there are pairs of opposed concave cut-outs and rectangular cut-outs on the sides of the plate. Remains of an engraved rocker-arm saltire within longitudinal bordering lines on the upper end of the face. See Margeson 1993, 35-6, fig. 20 nos. 233-4. Extant length 53mm. Width 14mm. c.1350 - c.1450.
