A cast copper alloy harness pendant, composed of an outer frame with a swinger. The swinger takes the form of a circular centre section, pierced by a central hole; around this centre are four circular knops at the compass points, forming a rough quatrefoil. The outer frame loosely follows this shape, and has narrow ‘leaves’ protruding outwards between the curved sections, like sepals behind the petals of a flower. The object was recorded at the Hidden Treasures Roadshow at Worcester. The brooch is intact except for the pin, which is completely missing. The brooch has a well developed olive green patina, which has little wear and is in very good condition. Only the suspension loop shows signs of wear. The loop is decorated with incised line decoration. The bow head is flat and small. The reverse of the bow head has traces of an iron pin or hinge.
